Come to Me, Lord was inspired by the events in Andrea (Lawson) McMurtry's life when she was a student in middle-school.  This is a trying time for most people, and she was looking for a way to connect with the Lord through music and in the beauty of the world around her.  She wrote Come to Me, Lord at the age of 12 and copyrighted it with the Library of Congress at age 14.  Over 25 years later, Andrea was blessed to cross paths with Phil Rogers (incredibly talented musician, arranger, and studio engineer) and Corrie House (amazing vocalist) and Come to Me, Lord was recorded in 2006 (but it took another 3 years to get a final mix done).  Then another 8 years passed before Andrea set this song to video and it took another year to get the song and video shared with the world here in 2018.  It was finally released on popular music platforms in 2020.  Moral of the story: never give up on your dreams - and the Lord will always be there for you when you need Him.
